Euboea jewelry store robbed using stolen excavator

An organized group of at least seven masked individuals carried out a violent robbery at a jewelry store in Avlida Beach, Euboea, using a stolen JCB excavator to demolish the storefront. The incident occurred in the early hours of a Saturday morning after the perpetrators reportedly stole the heavy machinery from a local construction yard.

Video footage shows the excavator being used to collapse the shop's facade and security shutters. Once inside, the suspects used flashlights to locate and seize valuables. The group fled the scene in a private vehicle after an off-duty police officer, who happened to be passing by, attempted to intervene.

The shop owner reported that the business had been targeted in a previous, less successful attempt in February involving an agricultural vehicle. Police are currently conducting investigations to identify the suspects and recover the stolen goods.
