Avola Mayor Recognizes Top Students with 100 and 100 e lode Honors
The municipality of Avola honored a group of recent high‑school graduates who achieved the highest possible marks. Mayor Rossana Cannata praised the students, saying the diplomas are “a reason for pride for the city”. The ceremony also included Gabriella Pagano, director of the local Majorana Institute, along with teachers and families.
Eighteen students received a diploma with 100 e lode, while twenty other graduates earned a perfect score of 100 without honors. The mayor highlighted the importance of perseverance, sacrifice and effort, and urged the youngsters to view the diplomas as the start of new opportunities.
The event underscores the town’s focus on academic excellence and community support for its youth.
