Avola pushes for more public defibrillators in key locations

The local Futuro Nazionale committee in Avola has asked the municipal administration to install additional public defibrillators (DAE) in high‑traffic areas. Existing units are in Piazza Umberto I and the sports field, but the party proposes new devices in the new Piazza Esedra, Parco Robinson, the Borgo Marinaro district and the Thursday market. Representative Vincenzo Marino said the devices should be protected, clearly sign‑posted and linked to a geolocation app, with an up‑to‑date map and an information campaign.

The request highlights that Avola’s resident population of about 30,000 can triple during the summer tourist season, making rapid emergency response crucial. Futuro Nazionale urges the administration to act quickly to improve community safety and protect both residents and visitors.
