Avolta AG Secures Seven‑Year Duty‑Free Contract at Kolkata Airport

Swiss retailer Avolta AG has been awarded a seven‑year duty‑free contract at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, India. The agreement allows the company to operate six duty‑free stores – two in the departure hall and four in arrivals – expanding its presence beyond its existing outlet at Bangalore Airport.

Freda Cheung, President and CEO Asia Pacific of Avolta, said the deal is a “milestone” that strengthens the firm’s position in one of Asia‑Pacific’s most dynamic travel markets and supports its strategy of disciplined growth in key locations across the region.
