Avonturia de Vogelkelder honored for 50 years of entrepreneurship

Avonturia de Vogelkelder has been honored for its 50th anniversary. On behalf of the municipal government, Richard de Mos, the Alderman for Economy, presented the Hague distinction ‘Ondernemers zijn Goud waard’ (Entrepreneurs are worth gold) to Emely Huybers and the Huybers family.

Founded in 1976 by Jan Huybers in a basement, the company has evolved from a specialized pet shop into a large nature and experience center focused on animals, nature, and education. The business also maintains an international presence through its own brands. The award recognizes the family's continued dedication to the life's work established by the late founder.
