Avs party platform priorities spark criticism

The Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (Avs) party has released its priority proposals gathered via the “Decidiamo insieme” digital platform. The initiative, led by Nicola Fratoianni and Angelo Bonelli, sought input from approximately 110,000 users to shape the opposition coalition's program.

Some of the most highly voted proposals include working fewer hours for the same pay and the liberalization of drug use. The platform also included ideas regarding the taxation of large fortunes to fund Italy's environmental transformation. The results have drawn criticism for their perceived lack of practical economic solutions to the rising cost of living.
