Avvenire and Mondadori Store launch Esordi podcast

Avvenire and Mondadori Store have launched “Esordi,” a new live podcast and cultural project designed to explore the behind-the-scenes process of the publishing industry. Running from October 2026 to June 2027, the initiative consists of eight live events held at the Mondadori Bookstore Crocetta in Milan.

Moderated by Avvenire journalist Eugenio Giannetta, each session will feature a dialogue between an established author and a debut writer. The discussions will cover topics such as editorial choices, rejections, editing processes, and the role of scouts and awards. These live conversations will be recorded and released as an eight-episode video podcast available on the Avvenire website and major audio platforms.

The series begins on October 15 with “Il libro nel cassetto,” featuring authors Fabio Geda and Maria Ausilia Di Falco, who will discuss the origins of publishing ideas.
