Awarapan 2 achieves major box office success with ₹200 crore worldwide gross
The action-thriller sequel ‘Awarapan 2’, starring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, has achieved significant commercial success at the Indian box office. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film has crossed the ₹200 crore mark in worldwide gross collections within its first 10 to 12 days of release.
In India, the film has amassed a net collection of approximately ₹143 crore, nearing the ₹150 crore milestone. Its performance has been noted for its stability during the second week, maintaining momentum despite a slight dip on its second Monday. The film has also reportedly surpassed the profit margins of Hashmi’s 2004 hit ‘Murder’ and has become one of the top five highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026, overtaking ‘Welcome To The Jungle’.
As the film continues its theatrical run, it faces upcoming competition from the release of ‘Toxic’, starring Yash. The success of the sequel is attributed to strong word-of-mouth, the return of the character Shivam Pandit, and a popular musical score.
