AWOL Vision announces LuxVision flagship 4K UST projector
AWOL Vision has announced its flagship ultra-short throw (UST) 4K projector, the LuxVision, which was unveiled at the CEDIA Expo. The device is expected to be available globally around October 2026.
A standout feature is its vertical optical shift capability, which the company claims is a first for a 4K/120Hz UST projector. This allows for image position adjustments between 142% and 152% without the resolution loss typically associated with digital keystone correction.
The projector utilizes an RGB triple laser light source, offering a brightness of up to 6,000 ISO lumens and covering 110% of the Rec. 2020 color space. It supports 4K resolution at 120Hz and can project images up to 200 inches. Technical specifications include a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1, enhanced by EBL (Enhanced Black Level) technology to reach a dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000:1.
Other features include support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG, as well as Google TV integration. Connectivity options include three HDMI 2.1 ports, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The design is inspired by the Parthenon, aiming for a minimal, sculptural aesthetic.
