AWS allocates USD 500 million for global student cloud and AI training

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has allocated more than USD 500 million (approximately Rp8.8 trillion) to support the development of cloud and artificial intelligence skills for university students worldwide. This investment is being implemented through a new initiative called Student Rewards at the AWS Builder Center.

The program provides verified college students with access to AWS credits, 12-month subscriptions to premium Skill Builder training, and vouchers for AWS Certification Foundational exams. Individual students may receive rewards valued at up to USD 579 by completing their profiles and earning activity badges.

Kim Majerus, Vice President of Global Education and Local Government at AWS, stated that the goal is to provide hands-on workshops and certification vouchers so that students can move beyond theoretical learning to practical application. In Indonesia, AWS educational programs have already reached over 1.3 million people since 2017.
