AWS and LogicMonitor introduce new AI agent governance tools
Major technology providers are introducing new tools to manage the governance and discovery of AI agents.
AWS has updated its Agent Registry to support custom metadata. This allows organizations to extend registry records with structured fields such as team ownership, data classification, or review status. The registry serves as a centralized catalog for agents, MCP servers, and agent skills, enabling both humans and automated systems to find and govern resources through the AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs.
LogicMonitor has launched Agent Studio for Edwin AI, providing IT administrators with a centralized control plane to inventory and scope AI agents' access to production systems via the Model Context Protocol. The tool aims to address enterprise challenges regarding AI agent reliability and hallucination management by treating agent management as a formal IT operations discipline. Administrators can use the interface to view agent purposes, enable or disable agents, and manage access to approved tools and capabilities.
