AWS and OpenObserve launch new AI-driven observability tools

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of Amazon CloudWatch Omni, an AI-powered observability tool designed to help teams monitor and troubleshoot applications and agents in a single location. The service integrates OpenTelemetry interoperability with CloudWatch scale, allowing users to view telemetry across AWS accounts, various regions, and other clouds like Azure. It features automated service discovery, dependency mapping, and natural language querying to assist in root cause analysis.

Simultaneously, OpenObserve has released version 1.0 for its unified observability platform. This update introduces AI Observability, which integrates agent tracing, LLM monitoring, and session annotation alongside traditional logs, metrics, and traces. The platform aims to provide a single view of the entire request lifecycle, from the browser through agent loops and model calls to the database, addressing the need for unified governance in custom AI agent development.
