AWS introduces Detected Anomalies widget for Billing and Cost Management Dashboards

AWS Billing and Cost Management (BCM) has introduced a new Detected Anomalies widget for its BCM Dashboards. This update allows users to monitor cost anomalies directly alongside other metrics such as budgets, usage, and cost efficiency within a single, unified view.

The widget displays the number of detected anomalies and their total cost impact relative to month-to-date spending. Users can customize the view by selecting look-back periods of 30, 60, or 90 days and filtering by severity, service, account, and region. The tool provides direct links to the AWS Cost Anomaly Detection console for detailed investigation and assessment recording.

Integration features include support for dashboard exports, scheduled email reports, and downloads in CSV or PDF formats. The widget is available in all commercial AWS Regions at no additional charge and supports cross-account dashboard sharing.
