AWS launches AI agent for cloud audits amid rising AI network traffic

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched the preview version of the ‘AWS Well-Architected Agent’, an AI-driven tool designed to automate cloud environment audits. The agent analyzes over 65 AWS services to provide recommendations on cost, security, performance, and elasticity. It can suggest Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions compatible with tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, helping users optimize their cloud architecture.

Simultaneously, the rise of AI agents is driving a surge in global internet traffic, creating new opportunities for network infrastructure providers. Analysts are monitoring companies like Cloudflare, Akamai Technologies, and Fastly, which manage and protect web traffic. While Cloudflare and Fastly are seeing significant traffic growth, Akamai has secured a major $11.6 billion computing capacity deal with AI firm Anthropic, positioning itself to capture long-term demand for AI inference and low-latency edge computing.
