AWS launches Kiro for Students program at BINUS University

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced the ‘Kiro for Students’ program at BINUS University, making it the first university in Indonesia to adopt this AI-based software development program within an academic environment.

The program provides students with one year of free access to Kiro, an AI agent designed for software development. This technology allows users to generate design layouts, compile development task lists, and receive explanations for programming code. By integrating Kiro into the curriculum, students in Computer Science and Information Systems can bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application, transforming classroom learning into real-world prototypes.

University officials noted that the initiative aims to equip the next generation of developers with professional-grade AI tools, fostering both technical skills and critical thinking to prepare them for the evolving technological landscape.
