AXA Mansard launches brand campaign and seeks ₦18.3bn capital raise

AXA Mansard Insurance Plc has launched a pan-African brand campaign in Nigeria titled ‘Culture of Care’. The initiative aims to increase insurance uptake by framing financial protection as an extension of existing community and family care values, such as supporting aging parents or providing for children.

CEO Kunle Ahmed noted that Nigeria’s insurance penetration remains below one percent. He stated that the company seeks to help Nigerians view insurance as a practical expression of care rather than a mere expense, drawing on the African philosophy of Ubuntu.

Separately, the company has scheduled its 34th Annual General Meeting for October 9, 2026. During this virtual meeting, shareholders will vote on a special resolution to raise up to ₦18.3 billion through a rights issue of ordinary shares to strengthen the company’s capital base.
