AXA XL to acquire remaining shares of S‑RM, boosting cyber‑risk advisory

AXA XL, which already owns about 49% of S‑RM, announced an agreement to purchase the consultancy’s remaining shares. S‑RM, founded in 2005, provides corporate intelligence, cyber‑security, and crisis‑response services to clients in 140 countries.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen AXA XL’s newly created Risk Advisory unit and expand its prevention offering. AXA XL CEO Scott Gunter said the deal is a key step in building data‑driven insights for clients, while AXA XL Risk Advisory CEO Libby Benet highlighted the complementary expertise S‑RM brings. S‑RM CEO Heyrick Bond Gunning noted the long‑standing partnership between the firms.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to be completed by the end of September 2026.
