Axel criticizes lack of humility in new generation of artists

Singer Axel has criticized the lack of humility among newer generations of artists who gain rapid popularity through social media. Speaking on the streaming program ‘Somos Lovest’, the musician noted that many artists aged 16 to 25 often fail to respond to professional communications, sometimes taking up to a month to reply to messages.

Axel contrasted this behavior with established figures, citing Spanish singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat as an example of greatness in both talent and character. He recalled a personal moment when Serrat sent him a video message to support his mother during a period of illness, an act he used to illustrate the difference between true icons and those who believe they are famous based solely on brief social media trends.

While clarifying that he is not attempting to generalize, Axel expressed concern that artists who prioritize immediate exposure over building a lasting body of work and maintaining connections with fans and colleagues may struggle to sustain their recognition over time.
