Axel Kicillof inaugurates water plant and signs Uruguay agreements

Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof has inaugurated the first water bottling plant for the state-owned company Aguas Bonaerenses (ABSA) in Ensenada. The facility has a production capacity of 8,400 bottles per day, allowing the company to end its reliance on private providers for supplying bottled water to state offices. The project included a new storage building, new equipment, and upgrades to the water treatment circuit.

In addition to the plant inauguration, Kicillof traveled to Uruguay for diplomatic and scientific engagements. During a meeting with President Yamandú Orsi, Kicillof signed cooperation agreements to strengthen scientific research, agricultural policies, and food security. This included a partnership between the Buenos Aires Scientific Research Commission (CIC) and the University of the Republic to promote joint research and technological transfer.

Kicillof also met with the Uruguayan Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries to develop work lines aimed at bringing certified quality products to various markets, supporting small producers and regional economies.
