Axel Milberg turns 70, welcomes fifth great‑grandchild and stays active in acting

On 1 August 2026, German actor Axel Milberg celebrated his 70th birthday. He announced that his wife Judith Milberg is expecting their fifth great‑grandchild, making him a great‑grandfather for the fifth time. Milberg reflected on his long tenure as Kommissar Klaus Borowski in the TV series “Tatort”, which concluded with the episode “Borowski und das Haupt der Medusa” on 16 March 2025 after 44 episodes and more than two decades.

Milberg said he has no plans to retire, citing upcoming roles and projects abroad, including the historical series “Vienna Game” slated for Disney+ in November 2026. He continues to work in German television and film, recently appearing as a drag queen in the comedy “Meine Freundin Volker”.
