Axel Springer expands international sports portfolio with investments in Brazil's Futez and Israel's Marquee

Axel Springer has acquired a majority stake in Futez, a fast‑growing Brazilian soccer app that lets fans rate matches, write reviews and rate players. The platform, launched in 2025, already has more than 100,000 users, over 900,000 match ratings and 4.5 million player ratings. Founders João Tomazetti Scholz and Giuliano Reginatto will remain as managing directors.

The media group is also investing in Marquee, an Israeli sports‑tech company that uses artificial intelligence to combine tracking data, video and scouting reports for professional clubs. More than 20 clubs and associations, including teams from the Premier League, Serie A, MLS, the NBA and EuroLeague, are using the solution. Both investments are intended to strengthen the BILD Group’s international sports portfolio, which includes SPORT BILD, Transfermarkt and TorAlarm.
