Axera ADAS chip enters European market via Leapmotor vehicles

Axera’s intelligent driving chip has entered the European market through Leapmotor’s new global compact electric hatchback. This deployment marks a significant step in the international expansion of both companies.

The chip is a standardized Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) System-on-Chip (SoC) featuring Axera’s proprietary AXNeutron mixed-precision NPU. It supports Bird’s Eye View (BEV) perception models and provides dynamic compute resource allocation. Its AI-ISP technology is designed to support high-resolution detection of pedestrians, road signs, and other vehicles in difficult lighting conditions, such as tunnels or rainy nights.

Leapmotor reported delivering over 660,000 vehicles between January and September 2026, with exports accounting for more than 150,000 units. As overseas sales approach 23% of total deliveries, the company is utilizing the Axera chip to support its growing international presence. Since entering mass production in China in April 2026, Axera’s ADAS chip has scaled to over 50,000 vehicle installations per month.
