AXIA Alpha Finance analyzes Greek economic growth and fiscal discipline
AXIA Alpha Finance has analyzed the Greek government's recent economic announcements, characterizing them as a pro-growth package maintained through fiscal discipline. The policy aims to translate strong macroeconomic performance into increased disposable income, domestic consumption, and private investment.
Key measures include a €1.5 billion allocation through the Hellenic Development Bank to provide low-interest financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, the government plans to accelerate tax depreciation for productive investments from ten years down to six. Other initiatives focus on supporting the middle class, farmers, and families through tax relief, housing support, and demographic incentives.
AXIA notes that the government is signaling to markets that these interventions are costed and will not jeopardize debt reduction targets or investment grade status, even as the country approaches the 2027 election cycle. The long-term strategy, looking toward 2030–2031, seeks to transition the economy from a stabilization phase to one of wealth creation and increased productivity.
