Axia Energia announces debenture repurchase and new energy contracts

Axia Energia has announced several strategic business moves involving debt management and infrastructure expansion in Brazil. The company has launched an offer to repurchase up to 3 million debentures from the second series of its fourth issuance. This initiative aims to optimize its financial liabilities and improve debt management based on current market conditions. The acquisition price is scheduled to be calculated on September 28, 2026, based on the unit nominal value plus accumulated remuneration, with settlement expected by September 30, 2026. Itaú BBA Assessoria Financeira will act as the intermediary for this optional acquisition.

In addition to debt restructuring, Axia Energia has signed contracts for four new energy projects. These include three transmission line projects in Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, and Mato Grosso, representing an estimated investment of R$ 668 million. These projects are expected to add R$ 50.8 million to the company’s Annual Permitted Revenue (RAP) once operational.

The company also signed a contract for the expansion of the Luiz Gonzaga Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE Luiz Gonzaga) in Pernambuco. This project involves installing a new generating unit to add 246.6 MW to the plant's installed capacity, with an estimated investment of approximately R$ 1 billion. The supply from this capacity is expected to begin in August 2031 under a 15-year contract.
