Axiom Medical promotes early reporting for workplace injury management

Axiom Medical is promoting early workplace injury reporting and 24/7 nurse triage to improve injury case management. The company suggests that delayed reporting can lead to worsening pain, loss of supervisor visibility, and complications regarding productivity and OSHA recordability.

Through its Injury Case Management program, employees can access medically licensed and OSHA-trained professionals around the clock. These professionals assess injuries and medical histories to determine necessary care levels. Axiom reports that over 70% of the cases it manages are resolved at the first-aid level.

The program includes nurse case managers who oversee the process from the initial report through recovery and return to work, providing employers with consistent status updates. Additionally, the model incorporates physical and mental health assessments to identify psychological distress or behavioral health concerns following an incident.
