AXION energy and Nueva Atacama implement advanced monitoring technologies

AXION energy is transitioning from periodic verifications to continuous supervision of its service station network by implementing artificial intelligence. Following eight years of digitalization efforts, the company aims to use AI to process large volumes of data, allowing it to detect patterns and intervene before operational failures, shortages, or incidents occur. Martín Ruiz, executive manager of Downstream Commercial Operations at Pan American Energy, noted that the company has been working on centralized management and network digitalization since 2018.

In a separate technological application, the sanitation company Nueva Atacama is utilizing robotic tele-inspection technology to monitor sewage networks. Using robots equipped with high-resolution cameras, LED lighting, and sensors, the company can inspect the interior of pipes in real time without disrupting public roads. This tool allows for the detection of cracks, obstructions, root intrusion, and corrosion, providing precise georeferenced data to prioritize maintenance and repairs.
