Axis Bank and IIM Bangalore partner to establish Centre of Economics

Axis Bank and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Axis Bank Centre of Economics. The facility will be located at the IIMB–Dorabji Tata School of Undergraduate Studies at the institute’s new campus in Jigani, Bengaluru.

Axis Bank will support the construction and operationalization of the centre within the Integrated Academic and Administrative Block of the campus. The collaboration extends beyond infrastructure to include faculty development, research initiatives, and the provision of both need-based and merit-based scholarships for students.

The centre’s curriculum is designed to meet global standards by integrating quantitative and computational learning with data analysis and empirical research. This approach aims to equip students with the tools necessary to address real-world economic challenges through disciplinary depth and data-driven methods.
