AXON registers with FINTRAC to expand financial infrastructure in Canada

AXON, a financial infrastructure company, has announced that its Canadian entity, AXON TECHNOLOGY INC., is now registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business (MSB).

This registration provides a regulatory foundation for the company’s operations in Canada as it develops international financial infrastructure. As a registered MSB, the company will operate within Canada’s federal anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing framework, which includes obligations for compliance, identification, monitoring, reporting, and record-keeping.

AXON aims to provide an orchestration layer that allows banks, fintechs, and businesses to manage diverse financial operations—including traditional banking, card networks, instant payments, and digital assets—through a single environment without requiring the adoption of a single proprietary network.
