Aya Yamamoto celebrates 10th solo anniversary with new book

Singer-songwriter and former NMB48 member Aya Yamamoto held a press event in Tokyo to commemorate the 10th anniversary of her solo debut. The event promoted her upcoming anniversary book, ‘The 10th Aya Yamamoto Solo Debut 10th Anniversary BOOK’, scheduled for release on the 24th via Wani Books.

Yamamoto reflected on a decade of growth, describing the period as “extremely dense” with both successes and challenges. The book features long interviews, dialogues with ten different individuals—including former senior member Minami Takahashi—and self-reviews of ten significant songs. She expressed high confidence in the publication, jokingly rating it “1 billion points.”

During the event, Yamamoto also discussed her recent solo performance at the Nippon Budokan in July, describing the experience as unforgettable. Regarding personal changes, she noted increased social skills since transitioning from group activities to a solo career, though she admitted to feeling the physical effects of aging. When asked about marriage, she responded that while she does not have an immediate desire, she “would like to someday.”
