Ayacucho and Lima to experience scheduled water supply interruptions

The municipal water utility in Ayacucho will carry out a series of cleaning and disinfection operations on its reservoirs and treatment plants from 16 June to 24 June. The work will cause phased cuts, with a city‑wide outage on 22 June from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. during the cleaning of Reservoir Head 1, and another full‑city interruption on 24 June from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. while Reservoir Head 2 is serviced. Prior to those dates, specific neighborhoods will lose service on 16‑19 June as individual reservoirs are cleaned.

In Lima, the water company Sedapal announced temporary service suspensions on 16 June across several districts, including Ate, San Isidro, Lince, Los Olivos, and San Juan de Lurigancho. Cuts will last between roughly 8 a.m. and 11:50 p.m., depending on the area, to allow reservoir cleaning and pipe splicing. Residents are advised to store water ahead of the scheduled outages.
