Ayako Imoto to star in new drama 'Saisei no Uzume' starting October 2026
The main visual and additional cast members for the upcoming drama 'Saisei no Uzume' have been revealed. The series, which marks Ayako Imoto's first starring role in a consecutive drama, is scheduled to premiere on October 3, 2026, on Tokai TV and Fuji TV.
Based on the manga by Kirin Tendo, the story follows Uzume Tamura, a former child actor who has lived as a recluse for 12 years. Her life begins to change after meeting Roggy (played by Jin Shirasu), the representative of a handyman service. The main visual, designed with a pink color scheme and plant motifs, symbolizes the theme of 'rebirth' and the transition into spring.
New cast members include Chika Kurokawa as Marika Uesugi, a local civil servant and former colleague of Roggy, and Tomohiro Wada as Kenichi Obata, a man connected to the event that led to Uzume's withdrawal from society. The music group MAZZEL will perform the theme song, 'Touch'. The series is planned to run for 10 episodes.
