Ayala Corporation expands focus on social infrastructure
Ayala Corporation is increasing its focus on social infrastructure through its Alagang Ayala platform. The initiative integrates healthcare, education, community development, and sustainability to support human capital and meet sustained demand in these sectors.
During an InvestPH 2026 panel organized by the Philippine Stock Exchange, Ayala Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships. He noted that such collaborations allow the government to direct more resources toward education and health, identifying education, health, and income as the three pillars of national progress.
Ayala Corporation Chief Social Infrastructure Officer Paolo F. Borromeo stated that while physical infrastructure is vital, intentional investment in social foundations is necessary to build a prosperous nation. The company’s healthcare platform, AC Health, has expanded significantly since 2015, serving over 6.5 million Filipinos through a network of hospitals, multispecialty centers, corporate clinics, and pharmacies including Generika Drugstore and St. Joseph Drug.
