Ayala Polo Club hosts 55th International Polo Tournament in Sotogrande

The 55th International Polo Tournament organized by Ayala Polo Club will run from 27 July to 29 August at the Ayala Polo Club facilities in Sotogrande, San Roque, Cádiz, Spain. The event features 25 teams competing in three handicap categories – High (up to 22 goals), Medium (up to 14) and Low (up to 8) – for the Bronze, Silver and Gold cups.

Local authorities highlighted the tournament’s economic and tourism impact. Mayor Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix emphasized the summer boost to hospitality, while club president Paola Zóbel stressed preserving the sport’s legacy. Notable participants include 70‑year‑old Íñigo Zóbel, brothers Bartolomé and Camilo Castagnola, and international stars such as Facundo Pieres. Teams from Dubai, Brunei, Ayala Polo Club, Dos Lunas, La Dolfina and Sainte Mesme will compete, with free public access and ancillary events like markets and concerts.
