Ayamé and Mayotte Host Major Cultural Festivals in August 2026

The town of Ayamé in Côte Ivoire will stage the fourth edition of the Fa‑Amamoué Festival from 14 to 16 August 2026. Organized as a platform for Agni heritage, the three‑day event will feature traditional dances, artistic performances, community clean‑up initiatives and an homage to elders, with support from ministers Jean Louis Moulot and Yacouba Hien.

From 31 July to 3 August 2026, Mayotte will celebrate the fifth edition of the Festival Soma Zamani. The programme includes traditional music, dance, storytelling, chigoma, tam‑tam bœuf, open‑stage performances and a range of leisure activities such as karaoke, a farmer’s market, a football cup and wellness buffets, all aimed at showcasing Mahoran cultural traditions.
