Ayan Broomfield brings Ayan’s Aces initiative to the U.S. Open

Former tennis star Ayan Broomfield returned to the U.S. Open with her Ayan’s Aces initiative, an organization dedicated to creating opportunities and awareness for Black women in tennis, entrepreneurship, and sports.

In collaboration with Cadillac, the initiative brought a group of prominent Black women to the tournament, including actress Danielle Brooks, Yung Miami, Sherri Shepherd, Precious Lee, and Ziwe. The gathering aimed to celebrate Black excellence and sisterhood within the context of professional sports and fashion.

Danielle Brooks noted the significance of the collective experience, stating, “A collective of Black Women watching a Black Woman dominate is so much fun,” while highlighting the elevated atmosphere of this year's event.
