Çaydeğirmeni Gendarmerie Station opens new service building in Zonguldak

A new service building for the Çaydeğirmeni Gendarmerie Station has officially opened in the Devrek district of Zonguldak. The opening ceremony was attended by Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu, Chief Public Prosecutor Gökhan Kapağan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Barış Cücen, and other local officials.

Construction of the facility in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan neighborhood began on July 23, 2025, and units moved into the new building on September 21, 2026. Colonel Barış Cücen noted that the project was initiated to meet the growing needs of the station. The new facility is expected to improve operational capacity and provide better working conditions for personnel.

Governor Hacıbektaşoğlu stated that the facility is intended to serve the community for many years, contributing to the protection of life and property. Following the ceremony, the Governor inspected the units and received briefings on the station's physical capabilities and planned operations.
