Aydın agricultural officials to meet producers across 17 districts

The Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has announced the ‘Friday Meetings’ initiative, scheduled to take place simultaneously across 17 districts in Aydın on Friday, September 18, at 14:00.

The program aims to provide direct field support to producers by addressing their needs, listening to local issues, and offering technical guidance. Key topics of discussion will include optimal harvesting, drying, and storage methods for figs, which is a major regional product. Additionally, officials will provide information regarding the 2027 Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) and the 2026/1 Fig Communiqué.

Beyond figs, the meetings will cover the production of olives, chestnuts, and cotton. Other critical agenda items include the B-Prescription Application, forest fire prevention measures, and regulations against stubble burning. The meetings will span various neighborhoods in districts such as Bozdoğan, Buharkent, Çine, Didim, Efeler, Germencik, İncirliova, Karacasu, Karpuzlu, Koçarlı, Köşk, Kuşadası, Kuyucak, Söke, Sultanhisar, Yenipazar, and Nazilli.
