Aydın animal markets undergo strict regulatory inspections

The Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has intensified inspections at animal markets in the Nazilli and Çine districts. These measures aim to protect animal health and prevent illegal animal movements.

During the inspections, officials checked animal health status, movement documents, and the technical and hygienic standards of the markets. Authorities warned livestock owners and traders that animals without ear tags are prohibited from leaving farms, entering markets, or being slaughtered in abattoirs.

Failure to comply with regulations regarding ear tags, animal passports, and veterinary health reports will result in administrative fines. Additionally, owners are required to report any lost ear tags to the District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry or the Aydın Cattle Breeders Association.
