Aydın Chamber of Industry clarifies member registration updates

The Aydın Chamber of Industry (AYSO) Board of Directors has issued a statement regarding the recent removal of certain members from its registry. The Chamber clarified that the deletion of records for members who have lost their status as industrialists is a legal requirement rather than a discretionary action.

Following a comprehensive review of the membership database, AYSO identified entities that no longer meet the legal definition of an industrialist under Law No. 5174. Specifically, the review targeted firms that employ fewer than 10 workers in production, those lacking a mandatory Industrial Registry Certificate under Law No. 6948, or those with closed tax records.

The Chamber emphasized that these updates are necessary to accurately represent the region's industrial potential and to fulfill legal obligations mandated by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
