Aydın Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu Announces '7‑to‑70' Student Art Contest

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, led by Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, has launched a city‑wide competition titled “7‑to‑70 Kurtuluş Destanı Aydın” to commemorate the anniversary of the city’s liberation from enemy occupation. The contest invites students to submit works in three categories: painting for preschool and primary‑school pupils, composition for middle‑school students, and poetry for high‑school participants.

Entries must be delivered to the Vali Yazıcıoğlu Cultural Center by the close of business on 1 September. Results will be posted on the municipality’s website on 3 September. Organisers say the event aims to encourage young people to engage with the arts and celebrate the historic milestone together.
