Nilüfer Municipality to Add 24,000 sqm of New Parks Across Seven Neighborhoods

The Nilüfer district of Bursa is accelerating the construction of seven new neighborhood parks that will provide roughly 24,000 square metres of green space by the end of the year. The projects, part of the 2026 investment programme, cover the 30 August Victory, Dumlupınar, Kayapa and Esentepe quarters as well as the Akçalar, Yolçatı and Demirci areas. Once completed, Nilüfer will gain about 13,000 sqm of net green area, featuring modern children’s play zones, seating areas, running tracks and other social amenities. A “Şehitler Park” is planned for Esentepe and is slated to open on Victory Day, 30 August. Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir said the aim is to make the district “greener, more breathable and a place where residents of all ages can enjoy peaceful recreation,” and pledged to finish the works on schedule so the parks can serve the community before year‑end.
