Aydın officials inspect aquaculture at Karina Lagoon

The Aydın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry conducted inspections of aquaculture activities at the Karina (Dil Gölü) Lagoon in the Söke district. During the visit, officials met with producers and representatives from the S. S. Doğanbey Tuzburgazı Villages Fisheries Cooperative, which manages the lagoon's operations.

The discussions focused on the current state of the lagoon, production processes, and the sustainability of local aquaculture. Representatives and producers shared information regarding management practices, production challenges, and expectations for the sector's future. Key topics included the protection of natural resources and increasing the efficiency of lagoon management.

Ayhan Temiz, the Provincial Director, emphasized the importance of local production and pledged continued support for the fisheries sector. The Directorate noted that these efforts aim to support fishermen who contribute to both the regional and national economies.
