Aydın: Three minors referred to court after shotgun incident near high school

Three minors were referred to the courthouse after being caught in connection with a shotgun incident near Mimar Sinan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Efeler district of Aydın.

On Wednesday, September 23, citizens reported seeing two individuals carrying a shotgun in the Fatih neighborhood. Upon noticing police presence, the suspects hid the weapon behind the front wheel of a parked minibus in the nearby Fatih Indoor Market and fled.

Police identified and detained two suspects, R. E. Ç. and E. A., in the Osman Yozgatlı neighborhood. A third suspect, E. K., who was identified as the person from whom the weapon was purchased, was also taken into custody. During initial statements, the suspects claimed they had no connection to the school and fled only because they were frightened by the police while heading home with the weapon.
