Aydın: Woman dies from electrocution during house cleaning

A 20-year-old woman, Ayten Başaran, died after being electrocuted while cleaning her home in Reis Village, located in the Germencik district of Aydın.

According to reports, the incident occurred when water flowing from a hose in her hand came into contact with a power strip she was holding in her other hand. Following the contact, Başaran was struck by an electric current. Although relatives immediately contacted emergency services, medical teams confirmed her death upon arrival at the scene.

Following an initial investigation at the residence, her body was transported to the Germencik State Hospital morgue for autopsy procedures. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
