Ayerbe honors firefighters and supports towns affected by Las Peñas de Riglos fire

During the XXX Rural Alternatives Fair of the Prepirineo in Ayerbe, local authorities honored firefighting teams involved in the Las Peñas de Riglos wildfire. The ceremony included the presentation of the ‘Dama de Ayerbe’ to firefighting personnel and the recognition of several municipalities as ‘Friend Towns’ for their support following the fire.

In a separate solidarity effort to mitigate the economic impact of the disaster, a group of approximately 40 motorcyclists, including residents of Jaca and members of the Army, launched a series of rides to support local businesses. The first stop was the Casa Rural A Boira in Osia, a village heavily affected by the fire. These weekly routes aim to provide visibility to small tourism and hospitality businesses in the region that have suffered from canceled reservations and landscape damage. The next scheduled ride is set for October 10, targeting the town of Bailo.
