Aylín Mujica Returns to 'Top Chef VIP' Filming After Son's Death
Cuban‑born actress and TV host Aylín Mujica announced she will resume filming the fifth season of Telemundo’s cooking reality show Top Chef VIP. The season is set to premiere on 11 August, the date that would have been her son Mauro Menéndez’s birthday. Mauro, 30, died of pneumonia on 16 July; his remains were cremated in Barbados and will later be moved to Miami for a family tribute.
Mujica posted a video on Instagram saying she must stay strong and be an example for her children and family. She thanked supporters for their prayers and condolences, noting the work helps her cope with the grief. The new season will air at 7 PM CT on Telemundo.
