Aylín Mujica discusses death of son Mauro Menéndez

Actress Aylín Mujica has shared details regarding the death of her son, Mauro Menéndez, two months after his passing in Barbados. Mujica clarified that autopsy results attributed his death to organ failure resulting from pneumonia, noting that a lung clot likely exacerbated the condition following air travel. She explicitly dismissed previous suggestions that vaping was the cause of death.

While the cremation process was recently completed, Mujica noted that the ashes are still in Barbados awaiting transport via diplomatic bag to Miami. She expressed her intention to have the remains deposited in a unique underwater cemetery, honoring Mauro’s love for the sea. The actress described her ongoing grieving process and the strength she draws from her other two children and professional work.
