Ayman Ashraf discusses Egypt national team and Al Ahly players

Former Al Ahly and Egypt national team player Ayman Ashraf has shared insights regarding several key figures in Egyptian football. Speaking on MBC Masr 2, Ashraf discussed the status of Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy, noting his significant history and leadership roles despite recent challenges in performance compared to Mostafa Shobeir. Ashraf confirmed that El Shenawy has renewed his contract with Al Ahly for two seasons.

Regarding the national team, Ashraf expressed skepticism about the return of Zamalek player Abdallah El Said. He noted that despite El Said’s impressive recent form, national team manager Hossam Hassan appears focused on blooding new talent and renewing the squad, making a recall difficult.

Finally, Ashraf addressed the situation of defender Mohamed Abdelmonem. He emphasized that the player is currently recovering from a serious injury and has the right to exercise caution regarding his physical safety, particularly concerning upcoming matches such as the fixture against South Sudan.
