Ayman Kari retires from professional football at age 21
Ayman Kari, a former Paris Saint-Germain academy prospect, has retired from professional football at the age of 21. Once considered one of the most promising talents of his generation, Kari won the Titi d’Or in 2021 and represented France at the U18, U19, and U20 levels.
Kari’s professional career included two loan spells at FC Lorient, where he made 20 appearances and scored one goal. Despite high expectations, he struggled to establish himself at the highest level. In early 2025, a potential transfer to AS Saint-Étienne collapsed at the final moment of the transfer window, reportedly due to concerns regarding his physical condition.
Following his departure from PSG, Kari gradually moved away from the professional spotlight. He has since begun a career change, pursuing a profession unrelated to football, citing personal reasons and a feeling that he was not suited for the professional football environment.
