AYN unveils Odin 3 Portal gaming handheld
AYN has teased the Odin 3 Portal, a new Android-based gaming handheld designed to succeed the Odin 2 Portal. The device is expected to feature a 7-inch FHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
At its core is the Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8 processor, built on a 3nm process. This SoC includes eight Oryon cores and an Adreno 830 GPU, offering performance comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This hardware is intended to support high-end Android gaming and demanding emulation, including the Nintendo Switch. The chip also integrates Wi-Fi 7 support for remote streaming services like Moonlight and Steam Link.
For hardware controls, the console will include full-size Hall effect sticks, a D-pad, four face buttons, four triggers, function keys, and two additional rear buttons. The device also features an integrated fingerprint reader and anti-fingerprint glass. To support extended play sessions, the Odin 3 Portal is equipped with a 9,000 mAh battery and a dedicated cooling system. The device is expected to launch with a price point around €359.
